Supporting adults living with a disability
For young adults with a care requirement, we are on hand to help tailor a home care solution which enables complete control and as high a degree of independence as possible. Our friendly and professional carers will assist at home, place of work or study environment to provide the support needed to lead a fulfilled and active life.
For many young adults living with a disability, a routine led residential setting is restrictive. Our tailored home care service can help you or a family member embrace opportunities such as further education, travel and pursuit of new interests as well as support with day-to-day tasks, socialising, and companionship. All of our carers are professionally trained and able to support specialist conditions such as cerebral palsy, impaired mobility, Multiple Sclerosis or a long term illness.
Many day to day tasks and activities can be difficult when living with a physical disability. Our compassionate carers are on hand to help maintain independence and routine. Their tasks can include, but are not limited to:
- Housework, laundry and pet care
- Assistance with dressing
- Transferring, walking and assistance with mechanical aids
- Meal preparation and assistance with eating
- Hospital visits and collect prescriptions
- Companionship and friendship
- Arranging appointments and shopping
- Personal care
RATED AND RECOGNISED
Live-in care or flexible visiting care
Our fully trained carers provide flexible care to suit individual needs; depending on specific requirements and circumstances. We run a regulated managed care service which means our carers are in direct employment with Berkeley Home Heath. From first introduction, we pay close attention to an individual’s lifestyle, interests and outlook to ensure the best possible carer match. Our care management team will work with you and your family to draw up a plan of care that is truly bespoke and are in constant contact to ensure care needs are being met.
Live-In Care
We can provide a live-in carer who moves in to the home and provides full-time live-in care and support.
Visiting Care
We can provide a visiting carer who visits to the home during the day or the night for just a few hours a week or a few visits a day.
Emergency Care
If you have been let down by a current provider, or you have had an accident, we can have care in place within 24 hours.
Respite Care
Short term care to provide family and friends with a break which can be booked to cover regular breaks or as a one-off to suit specific needs.
Trial our service
For a minimum of three days, our trial service offers you the opportunity to meet and get to know your carer a little more, as well as experience all the personalised support provided, before fully committing to the service.
