We provide a premium personal care service as part of our wide range of live-in and visiting home care packages. Our personal care is suitable for support with all manner of daily tasks, from bathing, dressing and toileting to applying creams, lotions and assisting with mobility.
Our fully-managed carers provide all personal care in the comfort of your own home in a discreet and professional manner. Berkeley carers very much work around pre-existing routines and to an agreed care plan as created by our team of experienced Care Managers. We make sure however to offer flexibility within the planning process to allow your loved ones to maintain as much independence as possible.
What does personal care involve?
Personal care primarily supports individuals with personal hygiene and mobility, along with dressing and maintaining personal appearance, and can include (but is not limited to):
- Bathing, showering and bed-baths
- The application of lotions and creams
- Dressing and changing
- Getting ready for bed and getting up in the morning
- Oral hygiene and shaving
- Applying make-up and maintaining hair care
- Help with toileting
- Changing continence pads, stoma or catheter and cleaning intimate areas

Our fully trained carers can provide day or night time visits to the home, starting with just half an hour a day, or can provide full-time live-in care and support according to the personalised care plan specific needs. Designed for people with higher-level care needs and full-time support requirements at home. Our live-in care support can range from temporary round-the-clock support to long-term care provision on an ongoing basis.
Visiting Personal Care
A flexible service for someone who needs a little help to remain safe and independent at home. From as little as 30 minutes a week, to multiple calls each day, our local visiting carers are on hand to provide the personal support your loved needs.
Overnight Personal Care
Help exactly when you need it, even outside normal working hours. We can arrange for a live-in carer to support full-time during the night, or for a visiting carer to make visits to your loved one during the night time.
Trial our service
For a minimum of three days, our trial service offers you the opportunity to meet and get to know your carer a little more, as well as experience all the personalised support provided, before fully committing to the service.
