Tailored exclusively to you, we provide live-in care across London and flexible visiting care within a ten-mile radius of Northwood. We can provide as much or as little personal and domestic support as you require.

Caring for you safely

Care in your own home, particularly live-in care, is one of the safest ways to receive care for you and your family. Throughout the pandemic we are proud to have cared safely for all our clients and continue to take all necessary steps to help keep clients and carers as safe as possible.

Home care for older people

Leaving your home to live in a care home can be traumatic, which is why we offer home care services to help people live in the comfort of their own home for as long as possible. We can offer additional help a few times per week or even as a full-time live-in arrangement to maintain a good quality of life without the stress and upheaval of moving to a residential care home.

Our home care options include care for people with specialist requirements as well as more general support for people who are simply a little less mobile than they once were. This is an increasingly popular alternative around the country and helps to maintain independence.

Meet the Northwood team

We give priority to assembling the best team possible, recruiting special, dedicated people and training them to perform their job superbly and create a working environment where they can thrive and make a real difference to the lives of our clients.

All of our team are employed directly by Berkeley Home Care. We take great effort to match the right carer with each client. We look at the individual requirements of each person and match them to the carer who has the appropriate skills and the most suitable personality.

All our team are carefully vetted and subject to UK Enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) checks. This is a government database holding details of anyone with a criminal record. We also obtain at least two references before anyone starts working for Berkeley Home Care. When interviewing for new team members we of are of course looking for relevant experience and life skills. However, the deciding factor for us when recruiting is “Would we want this person supporting our loved one?”

Mina Gandhi, Business Manager

I joined Berkeley Home Care Northwood in January 2020 as a Business Manager.

I have worked in Health & Social Care for the last 15 years. My experience ranges from Sales and Business Development to Recruitment, Care coordination, Training and Operations. I have successfully completed my Level 5 in Health & Social Care; Level 7 in Strategic Management & Leadership and Train the Trainer course.

Working for Berkeley Home Care Northwood has been nothing but exciting. Every day is different and challenging, I love working with people and making sure our clients get the best care. It is great being part of this team.

In my spare time, I like to read, yoga and socialise. I have a passion for cooking and hosting.

Lyn Fulker, Compliance Administrator

I have worked for Northwood Nursing for 4 years and enjoy working here as my job role is very varied and rewarding.

My main role is compliance which includes organising carers training, recruitment and client’s reassessment and reviews. I also am involved in business development.

I have completed my NVQ level 3 in health and social care and I am looking forward to starting my level 5.

As well as being a mother with 3 adult children, my hobbies include attending the gym with my partner for weight training, and we do a lot of walking together. I am an animal lover with two cats but wish I had room for more. I have had a variety of pets over the years including a tarantula, chameleons, bearded dragon, Burmese python, hamsters, rabbits and fish.

Our history

The Northwood branch of Berkeley Home Care was established in 2000 and was purchased by Berkeley Home Care in 2018. We have a long history in the provision of excellent home care, serving clients in the London area. We can assist you from just a few hours a week up to 24-hour live-in support.

Our professional carers genuinely care

Our professional team of home carers at Northwood are experts in the field. They receive specialist in-house induction training along with ongoing refresher training to keep their skills up-to-date with industry best practise. They are fully vetted, interviewed, have good references and are in receipt of an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

They will always arrive on time and greet you with a welcoming smile, remaining polite and helpful at all times. At Berkeley Home Care, we only recruit those who we would feel confident caring for our own family – the very best!

We know that most people would prefer to be cared for in their own homes and for over twenty years we have provided care for hundreds of people.
